Title: The Renegotiation of NAFTA
Authors: Dussel Peters, Enrique
Keywords: Economía
Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: The goals of this book include analysis of the main results of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) since January 1994 and the increasing relevance of China for the NAFTA region and each of its members. From this perspective, NAFTA, and what is now called the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), should explicitly examine and evaluate the implications of China’s rising presence in the region in several economic sectors and, based on this analysis, offer explicit policy responses to it. This, so far, has not happened either in NAFTA or in USMCA.
